Since defensive lineman Jonathan Allenjoined Washington in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the franchise has had three names and 43 victories. It’s also had 72 losses.
“It’s pretty known that we’ve had our struggles in the past,” Allen said on Wednesday, “but, I mean, it has been really good this year. I’m not going to talk about how great it is because at the end of the day we still got a lot to prove, but I have a smile on my face coming to work every day.”
If that wasn’t enough of an endorsement of what’s happening with the Commanders this offseason, Allen added the ultimate compliment from a Crimson Tide alumnus: “It reminds me of Alabama a little bit with the level of competition we have and the way we work. It’s been really good for me.”
