Wisconsin Badgers Football’s Chase of 4-Star QB Brodie McWhorter Remains Alive After He…

The Wisconsin Badgers’ pursuit of four-star quarterback Brodie McWhorter remains vigorous as the 6-foot-2, 205-pound talent from Kingston, Georgia, narrows his college choices. After decommitting from West Virginia following the departure of head coach Neal Brown, McWhorter reopened his recruitment, drawing renewed interest from several programs, including Wisconsin.

In February 2025, McWhorter announced a list of seven finalists: Wisconsin, Auburn, Mississippi State, Colorado, Indiana, Syracuse, and West Virginia. By March, he further trimmed his choices to five schools, with the Badgers remaining in contention alongside Auburn, Mississippi State, Colorado, and Indiana. He is scheduled to announce his commitment on May 15 at Cass High School Theatre.

Wisconsin’s coaching staff, particularly quarterbacks coach Kenny Guiton, has been instrumental in maintaining strong communication with McWhorter throughout his recruitment process. The Badgers’ offensive system and the opportunity for early playing time are factors that appeal to McWhorter as he evaluates his options.

McWhorter has official visits planned to Indiana and Mississippi State, according to 247Sports, but those could be canceled depending on where he ultimately commits in May. Wisconsin is looking at a number of quarterbacks in the 2026 class and could even take two if the cards fall right. McWhorter would be a strong addition to that group if the Badgers can push and win out for his commitment.

As the May 15 decision date approaches, Wisconsin remains a strong contender for McWhorter’s commitment. Securing a player of his caliber would not only enhance the Badgers’ quarterback depth but also signal the program’s ability to attract top-tier talent in a competitive recruiting landscape. The coaching staff’s ongoing efforts and the program’s overall appeal position Wisconsin as a formidable option for McWhorter as he prepares to make his collegiate choice.
