The Detroit Lions will have their talented, gritty center back for the 2024 season. Frank Ragnow, who expressed at the end of a grueling season that battling injuries for the past two years has taken a toll on him, has confirmed that his career will continue in Motown. “I just need a few weeks to get healthy,” Ragnow told the Free Press at NFL Honors. “I guess my typical offseason routine is kind of get right back into it, but I think as I’m getting older I need to understand that sometimes maybe less is more. And I just need some time to make sure I’m healthy and then we’ll get rolling again.” Ben Johnson, Dan Campbell snubbed While it was not expected, Dan Campbell did not win Coach of the Year. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski took home the award this year. For the second year in a row, Detroit’s talented offensive coordinator will walk away empty handed at NFL honors. Last year Johnson ended up second for the Associated Press’ Assistant Coach of the Year award. After the Lions finished with a top 10 offense, Johnson was beat out again, this time to a former head man in Motown. Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz ended up earning the Assistant Coach of the Year honors, after a stellar season for the AFC North squad.
