Chicago Sky forward (and former LSU women’s basketball star) Angel Reese is joining a new women’s professional league.
Unrivaled Basketball, which was co-founded by WNBA players Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx and Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty, is a 3-on-3 basketball league made up of 30 professional players.
Reese is the 10th and most recent addition to the league, as announced in a joint Instagram post by Reese and Unrivaled on Wednesday.
“THE BARBIE IS UNRIVALED,” reads the post, referencing Reese’s nickname. (She was nicknamed “Bayou Barbie” at LSU.) The post also included a drawing of Reese underneath a message reading “305 Barbie,” a reference to the league hosting its games in Miami.
