Andy Reid doesn’t get the credit he deserves for what he’s accomplished in Kansas City. Since joining the Chiefs in 2013, Reid has transformed the franchise from a struggling team into a perennial powerhouse. While Patrick Mahomes often dominates the headlines—and deservedly so—Reid’s vision, leadership, and offensive creativity have been instrumental in shaping Kansas City’s success. Reid’s ability to adapt his playbook to maximize Mahomes’ unique skill set has redefined modern football. The duo has crafted an offense that is both electrifying and nearly impossible to defend.

Before Reid’s arrival, the Chiefs had only one playoff win in 20 years. Since then, they’ve made the playoffs in nine of his 11 seasons, won multiple AFC championships, and secured two Super Bowl titles. Reid has also earned a reputation for developing talent. He’s groomed countless players, including Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill, into elite stars, while ensuring the Chiefs remain contenders despite roster changes.

Moreover, Reid’s mentorship extends beyond players; many of his former assistants have gone on to successful head coaching careers. Despite these achievements, Reid remains understated, more focused on results than recognition. His legacy in Kansas City isn’t just about winning—it’s about creating a culture of excellence that will endure for years to come.
