ESPN NFL draft analyst Matt Miller released a complete seven-round mock draft projection on Thursday (subscription required). His in-depth look at the fast-approaching event included four former Wisconsin Badgers. Here are those players and their projected draft positions:
- Guard Joe Huber — No. 161 overall (5th round) to the Philadelphia Eagles
- Wide receiver Chimere Dike (via Florida) — No. 179 overall (6th round) to the Cleveland Browns
- Tackle Jack Nelson — No. 221 overall (7th round) to the Jacksonville Jaguars
- Safety Hunter Wohler — No. 252 overall (7th round) to the San Francisco 49ers
Of course, the listed teams carry little weight past the first few rounds. At that point, it’s more about where each prospect will be selected. Miller sees a busy Day 3 for Wisconsin fans, without any player threatening a significant rise up the board.
That is a minor surprise after Wohler delivered an impressive NFL combine performance earlier this month. Both he and Nelson were the two most NFL-ready players on the 2024 Badgers. If Miller’s projection holds, both could join the long list of Wisconsin players to find a consistent role at the NFL level despite going late in the draft, or going undrafted entirely.

The 2025 NFL draft is scheduled for Apr. 24 to Apr. 26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The home-state Badgers, who each projected as late-round picks, will hope to have their names called before the weekend concludes.
