- Former Christ Presbyterian Academy and Alabama walk-on offensive lineman Graham Roten has been awarded a scholarship.
- The scholarship was provided by 68 Ventures, a Gulf Coast company, and announced by owner Nathan Cox and Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer.
Graham Roten, a former offensive lineman with Christ Presbyterian Academy, is now officially on a full scholarship with Alabama.
A walk-on with the Crimson Tide, Roten was awarded a financial package through 68 Ventures, a company that operates in the Gulf Coast area. The package is awarded to a walk-on and covers all financial needs a typical athletic scholarship covers. The announcement was made by 68 Ventures owner Nathan Cox and Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer on Aug. 15.
You embody everything I do, same with everyone I’m associated with,” Cox told Roten during the announcement. “I can relate to a lot of your story. Super, super proud of you. I know these guys are happy for you and you made me tear up.”
Forever grateful for the opportunity to be (a part) of this program for the past 5 years,” Roten said on his Instagram story after the announcement was made.
Roten, a fifth-year offensive lineman, committed to Alabama in 2021 after graduating from CPA. Though he did not appear in a game in 2021 or 2022, he made his debut against Chattanooga in 2023, then played in two games for Alabama in 2024, against Western Kentucky and Mercer.
