The Las Vegas Raiders have been active in addressing the wide receiver position after the draft but DeAndre Carter wasn’t part of their plans. The speedster played all 17 games for the team last season but only had four catches. New Raiders general manager Tom Telesco was familiar with Carter as he was with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022. He didn’t appear to have much itnerest in bringing him back but the wide receiver was still able to land on his feet. According to a June 13 X post from NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Carter has signed with the…

Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story is plugging along in his recovery from shoulder surgery. Story back in April underwent an arthroscopic repair of the posterior labrum, with an open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture of the glenoid rim. He’s expected to miss the remainder of the 2024 season. The injury — which Story suffered while diving for a ground ball — is no joke, something the 31-year-old has learned throughout his rehab process. “It’s been a challenging process, man,” Story told Tom Caron and Alex Speier this week on the latest episode of the “310 to Left” podcast.…
The New York Yankees are in win-now mode, which could necessitate further star additions to the roster. However, one reliever that could take their unit from great to exceptional may be swayed to another team in the AL East. Oakland Athletics closer Mason Miller is also linked to the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore was labeled by The Athletic’s Jim Bowden as having the best shot to land him should Oakland be sellers by the July 30 MLB trade deadline (h/t Fansided’s Zach Pressnell). Yankees could snag Athletics closer Mason Miller despite Orioles being the frontrunners However, that does not eliminate New…
ROOF Agency, which has Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk on its books, has been acquired by the United Talent Agency (UTA) and the Klutch Sports Group (KLUTCH). It brings together several high-profile footballers and athletes from other sports, potentially creating new opportunities for Van Dijk and his ROOF stablemates, including Kai Havertz, Serge Gnabry, Ademola Lookman and Tammy Abraham. The Dutch defender, who has been a key player in the Reds’ Premier League and Champions League successes, will now be part of an agency that represents NBA superstar LeBron James – a Liverpool part-owner.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James appeared to explode on head coach Darvin Ham during the team’s 119-108 victory in Game 4 to avoid the sweep against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. The Lakers were up 15 points early in the fourth quarter. The ball went to Nuggets guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. James knocked the ball away from him, and it went out of bounds. James insisted the ball didn’t go out of bounds off of him. But Austin Reaves was able to bring it back to nine late. “Of course we want to [start faster], but I learned in horse…
Already a basketball legend, minor league baseball player, high-stakes golfer, NASCAR team co-owner and poker enthusiast, Michael Jordan scratches his competitive itch these days with deep sea fishing. And because this is Jordan, his ‘hobby’ comes in the form of a $7.5 million tournament off the North Carolina coast, where the six-time NBAchampion is rumored to aboard a new yacht worth an estimated $15 million. For comparison’s sake, that’s less than 1 percent of Jordan’s reported $3.6 billion net worth.
