Is San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Brock Purdy a game manager? Alex Smith wholeheartedly disagrees with the notion. Former 49ers QB, Alex Smith, joined The Drive Guys Thursday to talk about the Dwight Clark Legacy Series and all it entails. The guys also ask Smith about the current state of the 49ers, and what Brock Purdy has to do to prove the doubters wrong. Outside Trent Williams, the 49ers’ offensive line was inconsistent, including their starting center. Jake Brendel started every game as the starting center for the 49ers. Brendel had one penalty, two sacks allowed, a 63.9 PFF Grade in the regular season, zero penalties, zero sacks allowed, and a 71.2 PFF Grade in the postseason. Liufau was one of the…

The Jets are clearly all-in on 2024, and they pretty much have to be. They are relying on 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers to lead them to a Super Bowl. If that’s going to occur, it probably needs to happen very soo New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had his season end last year in Week 9 when he tore his ACL against the Las Vegas Raiders. Jones has also had issues in the past with his neck. It was the second time in three years that he suffered a season-ending injury. …
