According to a team source, the Steelers and 49ers trade talks are real. While nothing is imminent, they “would be surprised if it didn’t happen.” But it all comes down to compensation, and Pittsburgh isn’t willing to budge much on price. With Aiyuk making it publicly known on social media that negotiations aren’t going well with he and the 49ers, it appears any team – like the Steelers – have some advantage in these trade talks. Pittsburgh isn’t willing to overpay for a player who isn’t going to be around long-term with their current team. What should the expectation be? Just guessing, it feels…
Quarterback Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers are currently in the midst of a highly important offseason as for the future direction of the franchise following their run to the Super Bowl this past season, which saw them suffer a gut-wrenching defeat to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime. Still, overall it was a successful season for Purdy in his first full season at the helm in San Francisco, as the star was coming off of surgery the previous offseason for an injury sustained in the 2023 NFC Championship Game vs the Philadelphia Eagles. Still, Purdy is not without his critics, as podcasters…
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers are serious about acquiring a veteran wide receiver for Russell Wilson to throw to and George Pickens to work with. To this point, Brandon Aiyuk has been the name to watch, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says things aren’t going as smoothly as believed. Speaking on NFL Total Access, Rapoport said the San Francisco 49ers have received multiple phone calls about an Aiyuk trade, but to this point, none have been entertained. Now, as far as the trade request, I would agree with his agent. There has been no trade request,” Rapoport said. “Obviously…

John Sterling’s retirement Monday after 35 years as the radio voice of the New York Yankees caught many people by surprise, even if he had recently hinted at retirement.
