The Cowboys enter the draft with an unsettled future at the quarterback position. Will that prompt them to draft a quarterback? Why wouldnât it? Eight years ago, they targeted Paxton Lynch in round one before settling for Dak Prescott in round four at a time when Tony Romo seemed to be closing in on the end of his career. This time around, Prescott is one season away from becoming a free agent, and the Cowboys will have no way to keep him on the team. If he wants to leave, he will. That makes it critical for the Cowboys to…
The departure of Johnson didnât really come as a major surprise. Last season, he had scored eight Premier League goals for Forest and interest was always going to be pretty rife. A product of the clubâs academy, Johnson served the club with distinction at senior level. He was instrumental as the Reds won promotion to the Premier League during the 2021/22 campaign. After a slow start to life in the Premier League, the winger came to life after the World Cup. He scored crucial goals for Forest against Leeds and Everton which ultimately helped the team survive relegation. Offloading the youngster was always going…
Just last offseason, the New York Giants signed Daniel Jones to a big contract extension. Notably, it didnât take long before they realized that may have been a mistake. Jones regressed vastly, and he didnât seem to be on the same page with HC Brian Daboll. The offense looked better and smoother when he was on the shelf, and there were always injury concerns about him. There are reports about the Giants considering getting a new franchise quarterback in the upcoming edition of the NFL Draft. Needless to say, they would most likely have to trade up to do so,…
On Monday, a report emerged that Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb is expected to skip the voluntary portion of the offseason program, and possibly will skip the mandatory minicamp. A video then emerged on TMZ.com of Lamb answering very general questions about his future. He wasnât asked whether heâll stay away from voluntary workouts or mandatory minicamp. He was only asked whether heâll be in Dallas. Saying âIâll be in Dallasâ doesnât mean he wonât be holding out. The Cowboys donât see it that way. The teamâs official website bootstraps Lambâs statement into proof positive that he wonât hold out for the new contract he…
As we approach the 2024 NFL Draft, there will continue to be endless speculation about what teams are doing and how they will attempt to improve their rosters for not only the upcoming season but the future overall. That includes the Los Angeles Rams, who have the No. 19 overall selection in this year’s draft. For the Rams and their fans, this has to be an exciting time, as this will be the first draft since 2016 that the team has had a first-round pick. It will also be the first time that head coach Sean McVay gets to make a first-round selection The…
You always wanna blow âem out, but some days, thatâs not going to happen. The Yankees struggled to get that one big hit, but they got just enough. Carlos RodĂłn probably didnât end the night exactly how he wanted, but he did just enough. New York didnât exactly look like the world-beaters they were on Monday night, but they were good enough to notch the 3-2 victory, and fourth straight series win to open the year. The Yankees are the first team in the majors to reach 10 wins, and theyâre 10-2 for just the fourth time in franchise history. LATEST VIDEO FROM SB NATION…

certain light, the fact the Detroit Lions have not agreed to a contract extension with quarterback Jared Goff yet could be concerning. In a more realistic light, it wasn’t coming until after the draft no matter what. It’s a clear priority for the team this offseason, and Goff wants to stay. It’s just a matter of getting it done, and the time will come. The cost is inching up for Goff’s contract extension, as the quarterback market always rises. The recent deal Kirk Cousins got from the Atlanta Falcons has been noted by Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports as…
Kalen DeBoer, offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic and the rest of the Alabama coaching staff have seemingly knocked it out of the park for another first-time visitor. Five-star Andrew Babalola, the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country, was in Tuscaloosa over the weekend. The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder had a previous relationship with DeBoer, general manager Courtney Morgan and, now, Seattle Seahawks offensive line coach Scott Huff from his Washington recruitment. DeBoer and Huff met with Babalola during the open contact period. “Like a day after it was announced coach DeBoer was taking the job, Courtney Morgan immediately hit me up and told me I was a priority and…
