Nigeria must triumph over Cote d’Ivoire and avoid defeat in order to improve their chances of qualifying. When assembling the starting lineup for a game against the powerful Ivorian team, coach Jose Peseiro must make important choices. The goalie for Chippa United, Stanley Nwabali, is anticipated to continue defending the goalposts for Nigeria while displaying strong ball-handling…

On Thursday night, the Utah Jazz will return to the court in Salt Lake City to play the Oklahoma City Thunder, and they will do so with sad hearts. Milojevic, a renowned NBA coach and legend in Serbian basketball, was 46 years old. Although the Jazz stated that tickets for Wednesday night’s game will be…
When the visiting Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings try to snap a losing streak on Thursday night, they have more pressing concerns than Tyrese Haliburton’s postponed homecoming. Since being traded from the Kings to the Pacers in February 2022—a trade that sent Domantas Sabonis to Sacramento—Haliburton has developed into a rising star in the NBA. This season, the 23-year-old has led the Pacers to the NBA in-season tournament semifinals and to the top of the scoring statistics. However, on January 8, during a victory over the Boston Celtics, he strained his left hamstring. He has been ruled out for the…
The Los Angeles Lakers have always been big-game hunters when it comes to upgrading their roster, and while they’ve already been linked to big names like Dejounte Murray and Zach LaVine, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin is reporting that they’re also looking for point guard help at a more reasonable price. Two names he reported the Lakers have interest in are Washington Wizards guard Tyus Jones and Utah Jazz guard Collin Sexton. Sexton has thrived since the Jazz inserted him into the starting lineup on Dec. 13. He is averaging nearly 22 points per game as the Jazz have gone on…
The Detroit Lions were able to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round of the playoff to advance to the Divisional round. However, one Lions player has seemingly developed a reputation for being a “dirty player” based on a hit from the game. Rams tight end Tyler Higbee suffered a torn ACL and MCL at the hands of Lions safety Kerby Joseph, who hit him low by the knees in last weekend’s matchup. By the letter of the law in the NFL, the hit was a legal one from Joseph. However, that doesn’t mean that Rams…

Marquez Callaway: A Promising Addition Callaway, an accomplished player who led the New Orleans Saints in receiving yards and touchdowns during the 2021 season, was not previously part of the Steelers’ practice squad. He brings a rich history of play from his time with the Saints, Denver Broncos, and Las Vegas…
The stalling Phoenix Suns superteam may have another move in mind ahead of this year’s trade deadline. NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reports this week that the Suns are evaluating trade scenarios centered around a member of their starting five — guard Grayson Allen. Siegel also mentions that reserve forward Nassir Little is another player the Suns would be open to moving. Though Phoenix is a mediocre 22-18 this season, Allen has actually been one of their best all-around performers. He is leading the Western Conference in three-point percentage at a scalding 48.0 percent and is…
Pascal Siakam is being traded to the Indiana Pacers, a person with knowledge of the agreement said Wednesday, ending a run of nearly eight years with the Toronto Raptors during which he was a two-time All-NBA selection, two-time All-Star and part of the team that won the 2019 NBA title. Siakam is going to Indiana in exchange for three future first-round draft picks and a pair of players with NBA championship rings — guard Bruce Brown and forward Jordan Nwora — said the person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the trade was still…
cDermott/GettyImages Bears quarterback Justin Fields has produced mixed results as a quarterback. Could he thrive if he changed positions? There’s no denying Fields is a great athlete. We’ve seen it time and time again during his stay in the Windy City. But those same athletic gifts that made him a fun quarterback to watch could make him a dynamic playmaker at a different position. Fields has the talent to play wide receiver, running back, or returner at a high level. Out of those three positions, he has the best chance to succeed at wide receiver. With a…
