Ben Francis, the CEO of Gymshark and an Aston Villa supporter, has refuted a claim that surfaced on Sunday night suggesting that his company is about to acquire Reading. In response to the allegations, the founder of the well-known sportswear brand responded on social media.
Francis refuted a post on Twitter that purported a deal was in place for him to become Reading’s sole owner. He apologised, but this isn’t accurate. “I’m a devoted Villa supporter who wouldn’t associate with any other team. I’m also far too busy working at Gymshark! Best wishes, and I hope you can resolve things [praying hands, bicep emoji].”
The Select Car Leasing Stadium’s owners are currently producing serious issues, and the supporters are itching for a change. But that’s not going to come from Francis, the billionaire.
