The Giants brought in Drew Lock in free agency last month to compete with Jones for the starting spot this fall. However, the Giants might draft a quarterback in the first round of Aprilâs draft. The Giants hold the No. 6 pick, and they could take a quarterback there or trade up for someone like J.J. McCarthy
The Giants need receivers regardless of who is under center in the upcoming season. Some mock drafts have the Giants drafting a wide receiver with the No. 6 pick. LSU standout Malik Nabers is a likely prospect the Giants could select this month.
Malik Nabers thinks the Giants will âfigure it outâ at QB
During an interview with CBS Sports HQ, Nabers was asked what he thought about the Giants potentially drafting him. Nabers said theyâd need to figure out how to find a quarterback that could get him the ball.
âI donât know where Iâm going. Going to New York, it wouldnât be a bad idea,â Nabers said. âThe quarterback situation, I know theyâre going to figure it out, especially if they have a caliber receiver coming like me. Theyâre going to want to get me the ball, so Iâm sure theyâre going to want to have a quarterback that can do that.â
