Caleb Cunningham Touted as Ole Miss’s Breakout Star for 2025

Ole Miss football has plenty of weapons, but one name is generating massive buzz this offseason: Caleb Cunningham. A true freshman wide receiver, Cunningham was a major recruiting win for Lane Kiffin’s Rebels, and early reports from spring practices suggest he could be an immediate star. Cunningham’s rare combination of size, speed, and route-running polish has fans and coaches buzzing. He’s consistently torched defensive backs during scrimmages, flashing elite hands and body control that remind observers of former Rebel greats like Laquon Treadwell. While most freshmen spend a year developing, Cunningham looks ready to contribute from day one. Lane Kiffin isn’t one to shy away from playing young talent, especially those with game-changing ability, and insiders say Cunningham could even start in Week 1. His explosive playstyle fits perfectly into Kiffin’s aggressive offensive philosophy, giving Ole Miss a vertical threat that demands constant attention. With SEC defenses already bracing for the Rebels’ potent attack, Cunningham’s rise could take it to another level. In a year where Ole Miss eyes an SEC title push, Caleb Cunningham’s emergence might be the X-factor that gets them over the hump. The future in Oxford is electric—and it starts now with Caleb Cunningham.
