The Miami Heat pulled off an incredible comeback win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night, with a 120-116 victory at FTX Arena.
Jimmy Butler led the charge, scoring 28 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, including a clutch three-pointer with just 1.3 seconds remaining to seal the win.
“We never gave up,” Butler said. “We knew we had the talent and the heart to win this game.”
The Heat trailed by as many as 14 points in the third quarter, but Butler sparked a fierce rally, scoring 13 points in the final period.
“This win is huge for us,” said Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra. “It shows we’re a team to be reckoned with.”
The Heat improved to 6-2 on the season, with Butler leading the team in scoring and assists.
“We’re feeling good about where we’re at,” Butler said. “We’re looking forward to the rest of the season.”
The win marked the Heat’s third straight, and they will look to continue their momentum on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets.
Butler’s clutch performance was praised by his teammates and coaches alike.
“Jimmy’s a winner,” Spoelstra said. “He’s got the heart of a champion.”
The Heat’s comeback win was also fueled by strong performances from Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, who scored 22 and 20 points respectively.
“We played tough,” Adebayo said. “We knew it was going to be a physical game.”
The Heat’s victory marked their first win over the Bucks this season, and they will look to sweep the series when they meet again in Milwaukee next week.
