After a disastrous season taking over for injured superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Zach Wilson did nothing to prove to the New York Jets or any other team in the league that he could be a consistent starter in the NFL.
With Wilson failing to live up to expectations last season and the team moving forward with Rodgers, the expectation was that he’d get moved in a trade at some point during the NFL offseason.
However, the Jets have been unable to find a trade partner for Wilson, and most of the league has filled spots throughout the course of the offseason, which means it will be increasingly difficult to move him ahead of training camp.
With Wilson’s future up in the air, the struggling young quarterback and former No. 2 overall pick was not at the team’s voluntary workouts, but it seems as though the team is still trying to trade him, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

Needless to say, the situation isn’t ideal for Wilson or the Jets moving forward, as things will continue to get awkward from here on out if a trade doesn’t come to fruition sooner rather than later.
