LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey was on hand Thursday night as her former star forward, Angel Reese, made somewhat of a homecoming to the Washington, D.C., area with her new WNBA team, the Chicago Sky. Mulkey and Reese, whose team was playing the Washington Mystics, shared an embrace after the game and eventually took a picture together at Capitol One Arena. During the post-game press conference, Reese, a native of Randallstown, Maryland, shared what Mulkey spoke with her about after the game. Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese waits for play to resume during a WNBA basketball game against the New…

The stage for the 2024 NBA Finals is set as the Dallas Mavericks will take on the Boston Celtics with Game 1 scheduled for Thursday. The Mavericks enter the series as the underdogs despite getting through a brutal Western Conference slate featuring the L.A. Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves. On the flip side, the Celtics ran into no issues on the way to the Finals as they took down the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers in quick fashion. Dallas’ run to the Finals is incredibly impressive because they were the eighth seed during the…

The 2024 MLB All-Star Game will be played on July 16th at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and you can be sure several members of the Yankees will be playing. A team that is 44-19 certainly deserves to have multiple players earn a spot in the Midsummer Classic, and the 2024 Yanks are no the exception. My colleague John Griffin will closely examine the position players on the Yankees who are deserving of being voted All-Stars, while I’ll take a look at the pitchers who are most likely to be picked for the game. As a reminder,…

Yes, it’s list season for NFL content creators. Yes, for the most part, these are generated to get a reaction and some interaction from fans. And yes, the Touchdown Wire’s head coach ranking from Jarrett Bailey has me writing about it, so well played Jarrett. Here’s the list of coaches that are ranked worse than ‘Flus. 32. Dennis Allen, New Orleans Saints That’s it. Here’s what he wrote about his 31st-ranked head coach. The Detroit Lions have turned the page to the 2024 NFL season. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t still resentment over what happened in the NFC championship game. Lions cornerback Kindle Vildor is the latest Lions player to publicly express strong disappointment over what occurred during the second half of the loss. Vildor told reporters at Lions minicamp that he grew so frustration about seeing the NFC championship versus the San Francisco 49ers on NFL Network this spring that he turned his television off. He did, though, watch long enough to see Brandon Aiyuk’s 51-yard reception during the…

There’s no denying Mikal Bridges’ time with the Brooklyn Nets hasn’t lived up to expectations. The Atlanta Hawks can swoop in and trade for him in the offseason in a dream scenario that’s bound to benefit both parties. After a standout stint playing for Villanova, Bridges was selected with the 10th pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2018 NBA Draft and traded to the Phoenix Suns shortly after. Even though it was only his first year in the league, the 6’6″ wing proved to be capable on the defensive end of the court. There’s no denying Mikal Bridges’…

Culture is a Miami Heat buzzword that received a lot of attention during last season’s improbable and historic run to the NBA Finals as the Eastern Conference’s No. 8 seed. Despite an early first-round playoff exit this season, the Heat’s culture continues to be a topic of discussion. With the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks beginning this season’s NBA Finals on Thursday, Heat center Bam Adebayo appeared on the latest episode of the “Point Game with John Wall and C.J. Toledano” podcast and discussed what sets the Heat’s culture apart. “To me, it’s just a standard,” Adebayo said during the…

Michael Jordan is one of the most famous NBA players ever, not to mention wealthiest. He made it onto Forbes’ richest 400 list in 2023, thanks to Jordan’s worth increasing since he retired, resulting in a cool $3 billion in the bank. Not surprisingly, he’s got it all: the best cars, a $61 million Gulfstream jet, massive mansions around the world, and, then, of course, Jordan’s model wife, Yvette Prieto, who’s one of those natural beauties that, annoyingly, looks just as stunning without makeup as with it. Cuban-born but raised near Miami, Prieto had a successful and lucrative career before…
