The New York Giants upgraded their offensive line in free agency but still need to add depth to the unit. In the later rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft, they could target an underrated prospect out of Washington to bolster their depth at right tackle. Washington OT Roger Rosengarten is an elite athlete Washington OT Roger Rosengarten could be an overlooked prospect that the Giants should target on the third day of the draft. The 21-year-old tackle is an elite athlete who scored a 9.61 relative athletic score (RAS) at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine. This score ranked 53…
4:45 p.m. — Rookies LB DeMarvion Overshown and TE John Stephens Jr. remain on track to recover from their respective torn ACL injuries suffered in the 2023 preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, as head coach Mike McCarthy said earlier this week that he is looking to get them each back by training camp. They look great,” McCarthy said. “They’re crushing it in the rehab. Those guys, they all work out together. The weight that they all needed in the weight room, that definitely will be a benefit of going through a year of rehab. I’m hopeful we can get…
Dallas Cowboys Predicted To Trade Dak Prescott For Major Haul In April’s NFL Draft Prescott was in the discussion for NFL MVP this season and closed out arguably the best regular season of his career. Although some rolled there eyes when Jerry Jones and company decided to fire Kellen Moore at the end of last season — as he’s regarded as one of the up and coming young and brilliant offensive minds — head coach Mike McCarthy took over play calling and the Dallas Cowboys offense looked elite for the majority of the year. Finally, Prescott and CeeDee Lamb…
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy may officially be able to pay for his wedding and own his own home now after receiving his incentive pay from 2023. And no, this isn’t an April Fools joke. The star quarterback who took his team to the Super Bowl this past season only made a base salary of $870,000. While that sounds like a pretty nice amount of money for most of us, for a quarterback leading his team to the best two-year stretch win percentage-wise, it is hardly anything. For some perspective, Joe Burrow is getting paid $55 million per year, which is…
FRISCO, Texas — This year won’t be the first time the NFL has opted to make a change to the structure and rule(s) of kickoffs, but it will certainly be the most drastic round of alterations any of us have seen in a very long time, and it will immediately impact players such as KaVontae Turpin and C.J. Goodwin. After years of tweaking that aspect of the game for what was labeled as concerns for player safety, the league has seen a rabid downturn in the number of returns and a vast deletion of the electric component of kickoffs on the…
Fans have clamored for 5-foot-8 Isaiah Thomas to man the Phoenix Suns’ point guard position. 00:00 01:36 While entertaining to think, Thomas is not seeing the floor, according to coach Frank Vogel. Vogel said when the Suns are at full strength at guard with Devin Booker, Bradley Beal — and heck, even Josh Okogie and David Roddy — Thomas is being used as bench support. That’s exactly what the Suns need and I’m going to tell you why. Communication Too many times the Suns have had faulty communication. Phoenix is one of the top-5 halfcourt defenses since February, but the 5-foot-8…
The 2024 NFL draft is rapidly approaching and while free agency isn’t over, the Los Angeles Rams have made the bulk of their additions on the market this offseason. As a result, their top positions of need are coming into focus, with their biggest depth chart hole remaining unchanged from the start of the offseason. Aaron Donald’s retirement obviously complicates things on defense because the Rams will need help along the defensive line, potentially making it a position they’ll target in Round 1. Elsewhere, the signings of Jonah Jackson and Kevin Dotson solidify the interior O-line, and the tight…
Derrick Henry Motivated to Be Piece That Propels Ravens to Super Bowl Win New Ravens running back Derrick Henry sat down with former NFL players Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder for an in-depth interview on “The Pivot Podcast.” Here are some highlights: Helping the Ravens get over the hump and win the Super Bowl: “I’m happy I’m going somewhere where they’re hungry for it and they’re right on the cusp. They’re always in the conversation, and I know Lamar [Jackson] wants one really bad, so I ain’t going somewhere where the expectation is just ‘we’re gonna see what’s…
The New York Giants are in an interesting spot with the 2023 NFL Draft approaching, and while all of the attention is on what Joe Schoen will do with the No. 6 pick in the first round, there are some other players who could be considered sleeper prospect in this year’s draft that would fill needs for the team in the later rounds on days two and three. The Giants had a massively disappointing season in 2023, going 6-11 and missing the playoffs after making a surprising run in 2022 during the first year of Schoen and Brian Daboll’s tenures. After the tough season, Schoen…
The 2023 season ended a lot sooner than the Dallas Cowboys anticipated. They were one of the best teams in the NFL during the regular season, but they struggled when the lights shined the brightest. The Green Bay Packers beat them in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, forcing the Cowboys to go back to the drawing board. As they look ahead and figure out what pieces could help them best succeed in 2024, the Cowboys have started to bring in prospects ahead of the NFL Draft. As reporter Brandon Loree highlighted, the Cowboys have already brought in two…
