Steelers’ T.J. Watt responds to criticism from team legend Ben Roethlisberger Originally posted on NFL Analysis Network By Jake Rogers | Last updated 2/16/24 It feels like an eternity has passed, but just a few months ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers were engulfed in uncertainty. The Detroit Lions have been fortunate to avoid injury at the NFL’s most important position over the last two seasons. However, the team wisely invested in an experienced backup last season in Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater has announced his intent to retire following the 2023 season and has been named the head coach at Miami Northwestern High School, so the Lions will be evaluating options behind Goff in 2024. Kenny Pickett is expected to have competition for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ starting quarterback job in 2024. Veterans like Ryan Tannehill have been linked to Mike Tomlin’s team, and hiring his former offensive coordinator, Arthur Smith, surely fueled those rumors. Since Pickett was just selected 20th overall two years ago, it’s unlikely we’ll see the Steelers invest another top draft pick in the QB position this offseason. But that doesn’t mean they’ll rule out another recently drafted first-round pick. It’s not easy to find franchise quarterbacks. Mike Tomlin knows this all too well after experiencing the rollercoaster seasons without…
