PITTSBURGH — The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs, bringing back the former Pittsburgh Steelers sixth-round pick with a reserve/futures contract, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Buggs joined the Chiefs at the end of the season, signing to their practice squad following his release from the Detroit Lions. He remained on the practice squad throughout the playoffs, winning Super Bowl LVIII with them. The Detroit Lions have signed defensive lineman Mathieu Betts to a free agent contract, according to a TSN report. Betts, 28, has been in the Canadian Football League since 2019. Playing with the BC Lions in 2023, he became the Canadian single-season sack leader with 18. He started all 18 games for the BC Lions and had 44 tackles, three forced fumbles and a blocked kick. Thad Young is heading to Phoenix. The former Toronto Raptors forward has reportedly signed with the Phoenix Suns ahead of the playoff chase, ESPN’s Adrian Wojanrowski reported Tuesday. The Dallas Cowboys will bring back Mike Zimmer as their defensive coordinator, multiple outlets reported Monday, 18 years after he last held the position with the franchise.
