The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Indomitable Lions of Cameroon by 2-0 to reach the Quarter finals of the ongoing AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast. Two goals from Ademola Lookman in both half of the encounter sealed victory for Nigeria. In what seemed like a repeat of the 2019 tournament, Nigeria was ontop from the blast of the whistle with little or no trouble to their backline. There will now meet Angola in the Quarter finals as they look to progress further. Victor Osimhen, The current African Footballer of the year, lead the line from the front with tireless…
After outlasting the Houston Texans last week, the Baltimore Ravens find themselves just one step away from playing in Super Bowl LVIII. The Ravens have been touted as the Super Bowl favorites for most of the 2023 NFL season and have a chance to prove the hype was warranted. Baltimore will take on the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in what should be a tightly-contested matchup between the AFC’s best teams. The Chiefs may not be as good as last year’s squad but are still a massive threat with a healthy Patrick Mahomes under center.…
It appears the Toronto Raptors are ready for a firesale after the trades of forwards Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby earlier this season. Per Josh Lewenberg of TSN, only forward Scottie Barnes, guard/forward RJ Barrett and guard Immanuel Quickley are considered untouchable. Everyone else could likely be had before the Feb. 8 deadline to make a deal. Quickley and Barrett were acquired as part of the Anunoby trade with the New York Knicks. “Multiple league sources have confirmed the obvious, the Raptors appear to be open for business, and outside of Scottie Barnes and the two former Knicks…
SANTA CLARA — The 49ers season almost ended in the divisional round of the playoffs because Brock Purdy was too aggressive. More than once he forced passes into the intermediate area of the field rather than check down to a wide open teammate, and twice the Packers dropped potential game-changing interceptions. Purdy thinks he’s a gunslinger, but he doesn’t need to be one — the 49ers are 11-0 when he doesn’t throw an interception, and 2-4 when he throws at least one. Which means his job is to protect the football, not take risks. “I feel like there’s times in…
The Steelers won their final three games, with Rudolph posting a passer rating of 118 while averaging 240 yards per game and throwing three touchdowns. Pittsburgh snuck into the playoffs on the season’s final day, where they would go on to lose to the Buffalo Bills in the wild card round. Rudolph is scheduled to be a free agent his March, but said that the team has expressed interest in re-signing him. “[I] visited with Mike T and Omar [Khan] both,” Rudolph said on The Ramon Foster Show. “I felt like they meant it when they said they’d…

The Phoenix Suns entered their Friday night contest against the Indiana Pacers having won their past seven games. After a rough midseason stretch, Kevin Durant and company appear to have figured things out, with the Suns letting Devin Booker cook as the main option. However, on Friday, the Suns ended up losing to the Pacers, 133-131, even though Booker had a worthy encore to his 46-point night against the Dallas Mavericks, dropping 62 in the loss. For most of the game, it seemed as though the Suns were in control. However, come the fourth quarter, the Pacers ratcheted up…
Mock drafts for the Pittsburgh Steelers have finally hit the trifecta. With the team’s quarterback situation still up in the air heading into the 2024 offseason, many names have been thrown around to fix it. That includes the names in the upcoming draft. There are six QBs who could be taken in the first round of the draft. The top three, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels, are all out of reach for the Steelers. Other mock drafts have predicted that they’ll draft two of the others in Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr. Now…
The Toronto Raptors are continuing to see Gradey Dick develop in another learning opportunity against the Los Angeles Clippers Gradey Dick didn’t mean James Harden any harm. His closeout looked innocent. Dick’s hands were stretched high in the air, trying to show his verticality as he contested Harden’s three-point jump shot. Dick just made one mistake, closing out a step too close to Harden whose craftiness resulted in a foul against the Toronto Raptors rookie. It happens. In a bigger game, it would have been a huge error. It turned an eight-point game into an 11-point…
